Ty's Word

When I sat down to update my blog yesterday, I thought for sure I had already scheduled this weeks word. Much to my surprise, I have gone through my scheduled posts and needed a word. I put the call out to any and all (actually just my two older children), and Ty was the first to find a word for me. I am thinking there will be those among us that will know this word, but I thought I would use it anyway.

~ anthropomorphisms ~

I enjoyed reading today's guesses! BB, you make me laugh :-) Thanks for joining our fun, Ben!
According to A Beka Book: Bible Doctrines for Today:
anthropomorphisms: ascribing to God human features to help us as simple human beings to begin to understand God's feelings toward us and His working in our lives.
The older children learned about this during their Theology section. It was referring to the Bible's expressions such as God's "hand", His "back" or His "face."

Amazingly enough I have heard this word before but alas, I do not know what it means. So I will just have to guess at it. Hmmm...been sitting here for a while thinking and yup, no answer. I give up! I am not smarter than any grader! :) Guess I need to go back to school!

Berger Bites answer is funny. Thus the reason I homeschool-to relearn everything. OK, now to my guess: doesn't the morph part mean to change? So here's my guess "The study of changes"
