The Last Day

Can you believe that it is the last day of August. Tomorrow September begins and Autumn is just around the corner.

We had a rainy and cool weekend and it is only 63 degrees as I write this post. The sun is shinning though and there is no rain forecast in the near future!

Our weekend started out with some excitement. We have a large woodchuck (groundhog/gopher) that lives in our backyard and it has been causing some damage. T decided to put out his live trap and see if he couldn't catch it and relocate it. He did catch something, but it was not what he expected, a skunk! Oh my! He had to move our friend to his new home after work, and it took longer than expected! For some reason Mr. Skunk liked his cage. Thankfully, T didn't suffer too much "stink" and we were finally able to head to NaPa's house.
We were supposed to work on their kitchen roof the weekend, but it rained on and off most of the day. The sun did come out, late in the afternoon, but not in time for the roof to be finished. But alas, all was not lost. Their dishwasher was not working so the men were able to troubleshoot the issues with that and it was decided that it was time for a new one. That meant tearing out the old and installing the new. Plus, they were able to wire and install new outdoor lighting on the garage. So even though the intended job was not done, work was accomplished.

Today begins our Fifth Week of school!

Thank you, God, for seeing us through these first 5 weeks!
