We had never before cut our own Christmas tree.
It was something I had always wanted to do, but
our busy schedules seemed to hinder us. So,
this year we made it a priority.
Saturday was a very busy day for us. We started
the day with a children's Christmas party, headed to
church for play practice and then home to get bundled
up to head here-
A local Christmas tree farm. As you can see it was a
beautiful day. The sun was shinning, there was not a
cloud in the sky and there was hardly any wind.
Heading out to the field of trees
Beth's extremes from the very small and cute
to the extremely large and gorgeous!
We knew that we could not get a tree any taller than 7 feet.
Boy, was it challenging! They had some really beautiful trees.
Ty found this one!
Luc really wanted to cut our tree this year, too.
His looked just a little tall as well.
Our final pick. Everyone really was happy! It was
the one Ty found!
Trying his hand at cutting down the tree. It was harder
than he thought it would be. Dad finished it for him.
But he was able to help trim it up a bit.
Maneuvering our way out of the maze of trees. It was like
playing follow the leader and hope the leader knew the way out!
Our big, strong tree carrier, Ty! Yup, I even made it
into a picture. Don't you think I look great!
Even Lys wanted to hand at helping with the tree.
We came home happy with our 7 foot, $20.00 Christmas tree.
We hope to go back next year and have as much fun as we
did this year! I would encourage everyone to try it.
