Is It Just Me,-Updated

But doesn't it seem like Tuesdays come around faster and faster!

We had a fairly quiet weekend, here.  Nothing too exciting or interesting.

We did have a Harvest dinner at church on Saturday.  Then we had "left-over" lunch on Sunday.  The best part about that was when we left church, we were done for the day.  We headed home and I took a much needed nap.

Ty, on the other hand, was busy getting our yard ready for Christmas.  We have been having fantastic weather and he has actually been decorating outside for about a week.  I am not really sure how much more he has to do, but if I know him, he will keep going until Dad tells him to stop!

Anyway, that was just a little "catch-up" on our lives.

Without further ado, here is our word for the week.

~INVETERATE: –adjective

1. settled or confirmed in a habit, practice, feeling, or the like: an inveterate gambler.

2. firmly established by long continuance, as a disease, habit, practice, feeling, etc.; chronic.

Good guessing, girls!

This word does not come from Ty's vocab book.  I recently finished a very boring book that had some interesting words in it, so that is where this word and some upcoming words will be coming from.

How has the weather been where you live?

Happy Tuesday!

Having a backbone; being able to stand up to someone/something

Isn't there an actual board game where you make up definitions? Obviously I'd do AWFUL at it.

I'm trying this from my phone. Hope it works.
I have heard this word before, but the meaning escapes me right now. I'll probably kick myself when I read the answer!

And, yes, Grape News, there is a board game about making up definitions. I believe it's called Balderdash. We have it at home. It's great fun!

I forgot to tell you about our weather :) It's been rainy and cold one day and then warm and sunny the next - prime weather for sickness! :)

Thanks, momma, for the weather update. I like to know what the weather is like in other places! Hope you all stay healthy!
