I'm Late!

Yes, you have read that title correctly.

I am LATE!

Late with my Spring post and late with our Word of the week post!  HA! I hope you all  enjoyed that as much as I enjoyed the laugh I just had!

This weeks word is:

~UNPROPITIOUS~

Hope your week is going great so far! See you soon.

Answer to our word of the week:

Unpropitious: ŭn'prə-pĭsh'əs; adj.   Unfavorable; inauspicious: arrived at an unpropitious moment.

I guess Grape is the closest this week.  I'm sorry for any false concern or excitement in response to my title ;-)  Thanks for playing along.

Eight Things I Wish I Could Do:

4. Wear a size 8 :-D
5. Not be afraid of heights, snakes, mice or spiders. UGH!!!!

I am now supposed to tag eight people. However, that would require having 8 people read my blog. I did this just for the fun of it and it wasn't easy with 2 teenagers answering the questions for me! Ha!

I hope I am not judged on any of my answers. Enjoy!

April 21, 2009

Today is a very special day. No, I do not mean because it is the word of the week.

Today is my little brother's birthday. I love my little brother, he is the best. I could go on and on about him, but I wouldn't want to bore y'all and I don't think he would like that!

Today's word is actually brought to you by HIM! Thanks, Ben!
Grape News, you may not ask, flirt or in any other way try to get him to tell you the answer. That would after all be cheating! ;)

~~SUPERCILIOUS~~
Answer: Supercilious: soo-per-sil-ee-uhs; adjective
-haughtily disdainful or contemptuous, as a person or a facial expression.

Did I mention, I love my Brother! Have a GREAT Birthday, Ben!

Almost Full Bloom

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Matthew 6:28-29

Here is NY, it is dark, gloomy, windy and rainy.  But never fear, Spring is here.  And the following pictures will prove it.

This picture is taken standing on the sidewalk looking east toward the front of the house.  Notice even my mums are growing green Yippee!
These are star tulips and they are beautiful.  I have several sets of them in the garden.
I'm sorry, you have seen these a number of times, but this year they seem to be getting better the longer they are in bloom.

This is taken at the corner of our front porch and you get a good view of the entire garden.  We cleaned out all the mulch, and haven't gotten around to acquiring new. Plus, my gazing ball hasn't made it to its pedestal either.  With the wind we are having today, that might be a very good thing! Now if my burning bushes would hurry up and bud, everything would be green!

I hope no matter the weather where you are, you have a good Monday.

P.S. If you could pray for Tom, a good friend of his passed away yesterday and he is taking it pretty hard.  Thanks.
