Forty-four years ago today,
my parents were married.
It was to be an eventful day!
First, it was two weeks later
than the bride wanted. She
wanted to be married on the 17th.
Grandma wanted
her to wait, being the good
daughter, she did.
It was a warm day. Way
warmer than March should be.
The groom, he is a fainter.
Warm + Groom = What a way to
start a marriage!
Fainted dead away!
Wedding complete,
reception check.
Morning after...
Groom to the wife
"I've made a mistake..."
Wife to husband
WHAT?! EXCUSE ME?!?
Husband
"April Fool's!"
Again, what a way to start a marriage.
One year and four months later.
Welcome, baby boy #1!
Fast forward four years.
Welcome, baby girl!
Four more years.
Welcome, baby boy #2!
(and what a boy he was, that is a whole 'nother story)
Here it is 44 years later.
The three children became six when they all married.
The six blessed Them with ten.
So here it is in numbers:
1+1=2+3=5+3=8+10=18
Happy 44th Anniversary to my parents.
I wouldn't be here without them!
Needless to say, she HATES
April 1st!
