A New Project to Work On

Sunday, August 22, we had rain all day.

And I mean ALL day.  A total of 4" fell

in our area.  Our backyard no longer had

a pond, it was a lake.  

With all the rain and the wind, we found (at 9:15 pm)

out we had a roof leak.  We are praising the Lord

that it was above our old room, which we

recently moved out of!

Here is what the ceiling looked like in our old room.

T had already take down the light fixture, due to the fact

it was what collected all the water.

Here is what it looked like from the bottom.

There were layers of ceiling.

Old fashion tiles as well as lath and plaster.

 And of course, they didn't use bats of insulation,

they used the blown in kind.

Here is what the room looked like the morning the team

came in to tear it all out. 

Did mention, that up until the night before the room was

still full of junk valuable stuff?

The Saturday (the 21st) before, I has spent the day cleaning out the closet.

I had managed to get the clothing out, but EVERYTHING else

was still in there.

Did I forget to mention, we went to the state fair on

Thursday (the 26th) before they came on Friday?

Oh, yes, they called while we were at the fair

to tell us they would be here Friday morning

at 10:30. 

Yup, after spending the day at the fair, we came home to box up,

more to other rooms and/or throw away all the stuff!

We ( I ) were exhausted!
