A Paper

Beth had to write a paper for English patterned
after Washington Irving's style of writing.

This is her story.

Residing in a little suburb, is a young boy of nine years.
His eyes are deep brown like chocolate
and his grin can make even the grouchiest old man smile.
He's a tall young boy, growing a little more every year.

This little guy strives to be handy and offer his endless
advice in every situation.
He has recently developed a love of books,
always trying to obtain his fill.
He will attempt to accomplish most anything
and is always busy doing something.

He'll be a friend to anyone his size
and bigger people, too.
This sweet, little boy lives with me
and is my cute little brother.

I didn't make it through without tearing up.
I even teared up typing it out.

I think it so cute and accurate!

Happy Friday!

I'm Feeling Old

Today my oldest niece turns 17!

I remember her as just a little peanut.

As you can see, she loves horses.

Plus, she owns something that even I don't have.

A passport.

What might you acquire in the next 17 years, Bec?

Happy Birthday from all of us, with love!

Blast from the Past

In the midst of all the cleaning and rearranging,
we found "old" pictures.  I thought I would post
some and see if you could guess who is who.

It doesn't seem really that the children can be as
old as they are, when it seems 'just like yesterday'
they looked like this.

Beth
6 Weeks Old
(pictures taken at a temp. K-mart photo shoot)

Ty
8 Weeks Old
(taken at our apartment by a local photographer)

Ty
20 Weeks
(Way back in 1992)

Y'all did pretty well!

I have to say, I am extremely proud of
my husband!  He is not good with names/pictures/dates, but he knew who
was who and get all three pictures right!

Way to go, T! Love you!

Stay tuned!  I have more pictures to share.

50th Word of the Week~Updated

Just a quick update.

We have been busy getting the girls room
ready for paint and a ceiling.  Couple that with it being the
sixth week of school, and there hasn't been much 'down' time.

I wanted to get this posted so you could ruminate on it.

IMMURE: ih-myoor

1. to enclose within walls.
2. to shut in; seclude or confine.
3. to imprison.
4. to build into or entomb in a wall.

Sorry, Berger Bites, that was not a hint. :(

Good try, girls!  Thanks for playing.
